I really thought I'd have some time to devote to this one, but things have been hectic. I will say this, however: I'm currently working with a few men who haven't made the best choices in life and it's increasingly apparent to me that the Gospel is powerful in ways I can only begin to understand.
To present Christianity as a way to self-actualization, self-help, life improvement, increasing cosmic understanding, or finding harmony with the natural order is to take the fangs from the beast. Salvation isn't from bad to good, or good to better. It is the restoration from death to life, and some of these men have a healthier understanding of that reality than I do.
